Over the festive period, we thought you'd enjoy a tropical twist on a classic Agricolke drink that is specific to Guadeloupe.
The Hibiscus 'Ti Punch is locally only served during December and is versatile enough to be enjoyed hot or cold.
Enliven your 'ti punch with infused Hibiscus to bring out tropical, red fruit, tangy notes that sit perfectly next to the syrupy sweetness of your favourite Rhum St Barth agricole serve.
Steps to create:
To serve at room temperature
Pour 50ml of Rhum St Barth agricole blanc (at your preferred ABV) to a vessel
Add a sprinkling of dried Hibiscus and allow to sit for 15-30 minutes
In a small glass, squeeze and drop segments of fresh lime
Add your preferred amount of raw cane sugar for sweetness
Taking a small spoon, stir and slightly bruise the limes until the juices are extracted and the sugar is largely dissolved
Pour in the Rhum St Barth Hibisucs infusion
Continue to stir until ingredients are combined
Add tiny amounts of sugar or lime until your preferred balance is reached
Optional: Add some pieces of fresh mint to the Hibiscus infusion before pouring into your 'ti punch.
To serve hot:
Add 1.5l of water to a pan and heat to just below boiling point
Add 100g of dried Hibiscus flowers to the water and leave to infuse on a low heat for 10 mins. Do not let the liquid boil
Wishing you all the very best over the festive season, from the Rhum St Barth team.
Rhum St Barth Clinches Silver Medal at the Caribbean Rum Awards
Rhum St Barth, the celebrated rhum company founded by Severine and Mikael Silvestre in 2010, has secured a prestigious Silver Medal at the esteemed Caribbean Rum Awards. The recognition of the Rhum Agricole 50% Blanc rhum comes as a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to crafting exceptional Agricole rhums. This Silver Medal is not just an acknowledgment of their dedication to quality and authenticity but also a celebration of the rich history and tradition encapsulated in every bottle of Rhum St Barth.
Rhum St Barth stands out by celebrating island living through its rhum, which takes centre stage in the world of cocktails. With a mission to create rhum that not only tantalises the taste buds but also transports enthusiasts to new and exotic places, the company challenges the conventional notion that fine rum is confined to a specific location or exclusively derived from molasses.
Embracing the natural elements of sugarcane, yeast, and water, Rhum St Barth employs a process that captures the essence of authenticity. The naturally occurring yeasts in the air work their magic, converting sugars into alcohol and fermenting the liquid. After meticulous distillation, Rhum St Barth's rhums are allowed to rest before making their way to your cocktail, ensuring a truly exceptional and refined product.
As Rhum St Barth continues to push the boundaries of rhum craftsmanship, the Silver Medal at the Caribbean Rum Awards serves as a milestone in their journey, inspiring enthusiasts to savour the taste of island living with every sip.
Rhum St Barth partnering with Dubai's best bars to teach tricks of the trade
We are excited to announce mixology masterclasses in collaboration with some of the best bars we work with in Dubai. We are making Agricole and cocktails more accessible with easy-to-replicate recipes for home. It was important to us to continue the fun experiences of the bar to the home for entertaining. We've taken steps to use recipes with easy-to-find ingredients, and measurements that can be found in the home using equipment likely to be found in the kitchen.
Partnering with some amazing Dubai bars like Josette, we are excited to be led by some of the true cocktail masters of the city, providing a fun afternoon for guests wanting to love rhum and cocktails as much as we do.
